Purgatory Resort Wedding

Purgatory Resort Wedding

When we got Jamie and Eric’s Purgatory Resort wedding invitation in the mail, it had the Milky Way as the background and promised “Dinner, Dancing, and Meteor Shower to Follow” the ceremony. They couldn’t have picked a better spot (Dante’s Peak) or day (one of the peak nights of the Perseid meteor shower) to make good on that promise. Continue reading →

Greenbriar Inn Wedding

Greenbriar Inn Wedding

Jesse and I returned to our old stomping grounds last weekend for Sarah and Patrick’s Greenbriar Inn wedding. And while it’s been some time since we’ve been to Boulder for a wedding, we put together a greatest hits tour for their portraits. Continue reading →

Seattle Wedding

Seattle Wedding

We’re back! We had a lovely two-week pause from photographing weddings, which we used to wrap up post-production on past weddings and do a whole lotta prep work for upcoming weddings (okay, and maybe we fit a brewery or two in there). And then, precisely a day after delivering the final gallery from our first stretch of weddings, we packed up and drove 1300 miles for Suki and Derek’s Seattle wedding. Continue reading →

Edgewood Inn Wedding

Edgewood Inn Wedding

When Jesse and I were scouting for Renee and Caleb’s Edgewood Inn wedding last Friday in Woodland Park, we ran into the typical Colorado mountain weather. First it was sunny and hot, then the clouds blew in. Then we had some nice sprinkles, which turned into a downpour and, suddenly, a torrent of hail. And almost as soon as it had started, the weather passed through and left us nice a cool with a beautiful sunset.  Continue reading →

History Colorado Wedding

History Colorado Wedding

Rashni and GEHS’s History Colorado wedding this weekend celebrated not only the joining of two families in marriage, but also the joining of two countries:  the United States and Canada, our neighbor to the North. And what better day to do it than Canada Day? Continue reading →

Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding

Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding

Almost exactly two years to the day that the Supreme Court passed down their landmark decision recognizing gay marriage nationwide, M&L married each other in an emotional Denver Botanic Gardens wedding. While we appreciate that the Supreme Court made it possible, all our thanks go to M&L for letting us capture their amazingly beautiful day. Continue reading →

Boettcher Mansion Wedding

Boettcher Mansion Wedding

On our drive up to Kelly and Nick’s Boettcher Mansion wedding on the top of Lookout Mountain, we were a little concerned that we wouldn’t have the views of the mountains we were hoping for. The day was chilly, considering the 90-degree temps we’ve been having all summer, and the mountain was blanketed by clouds. We could barely see around the curves in the road. Continue reading →

Crooked Willow Farms Wedding

Crooked Willow Farms Wedding

Kirsten and Mike are a beautiful anomaly. They’re charming and friendly, but could easily kick your ass. They don’t call attention to themselves, yet you can’t help but notice them. And they’re just as comfortable wielding a bow as they are riding a horse. Their Crooked Willow Farms Wedding was no different. Continue reading →

Vail Mountain Wedding

Vail Mountain Wedding

Jesse and I woke up bright and early to finish our sojourn into the mountains for our second wedding of the weekend. The drive was gorgeous and we both reflected on how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful state. Vail was bustling with the GoPro Games, which made some of our photo plans a little difficult. But we improvised for Chelsea and Jared’s Vail Mountain wedding – and did so quite successfully, if you ask me. Continue reading →

Mount Vernon Country Club Wedding

Mount Vernon Country Club Wedding

A busy April gave way to a quiet and rainy May. But now, Jesse and I have jumped right back into wedding season with Nicole and Jeff’s Mount Vernon Country Club wedding being the first of two weddings last weekend. Tucked up in the foothills, but with a spectacular view of the city, their ceremony was short and sweet, followed by one rockin’ party! Continue reading →
