Every wedding photographer has their own secret shot list. It’s what we use to develop our skills, try out something new, or just achieve something we’ve always had our hearts set on. Suzanne and Ryan’s wedding helped us check a few boxes off our own list. Starting with a Beaver Creek snowboarding wedding shoot.
It was the kind of day that convinces people to move to Colorado. The temp was in the mid-40s, the snow was soft, and the backdrop was phenomenal as we traversed to the top of the Larkspur lift for a few shots of the view. Suzanne and Ryan were dressed in their finest t-shirts as we meandered downhill, accompanied by congratulatory cheers from the other riders. (Side note: if you want to be impressed, watch Jesse ski and take photos at the same time!)
We exchanged our ski equipment for more camera equipment and reconnected with Suzanne and Ryan to document the pre-wedding preparations. They got their first glimpse of each other by the waterfall outside of the Beaver Creek Lodge. The ceremony in the art gallery was short and sweet and the reception at Revolution was a raucous good time…in fact, Suzanne and Ryan’s first dance as a couple may or may not have been to Wobble Baby.
