Mount Vernon Canyon Club Wedding

A busy April gave way to a quiet and rainy May. But now, Jesse and I have jumped right back into wedding season with Nicole and Jeff’s Mount Vernon Canyon Club wedding being the first of two weddings last weekend. Tucked up in the foothills, but with a spectacular view of the city, their ceremony was short and sweet, followed by one rockin’ party!

Nicole and Jeff eschewed a lot of the “usual” wedding hullabaloo, and instead, they made the day exactly as simple as they wanted it. There was no shortage of jokes and Moscow Mules between Jeff and his groomsmen, while Nicole opted to have both of her sisters as attendants (equal numbers of bridesmaids and groomsmen be damned!). We efficiently managed to take all the couple, wedding party, and family portraits before the ceremony so that they could mingle for their entire cocktail hour. And Colorado took care of the decor with the breathtaking views from the patio and reception area.

After dinner and some good-natured ribbing directed at Jeff during the toasts, the dance party commenced, guided by DJ extraordinaire, Mike from Mile High Music Patrol. Despite a power outage, the party raged on until late into the night. But before Jesse and I packed up our gear and headed up I-70 to our next wedding in Vail, we took Nicole and Jeff out onto the balcony overlooking the Denver city lights for one last portrait of the bride and groom at night.

Nicole and Jeff, thank you so much for entrusting us to capture your Mount Vernon Canyon Club wedding celebration. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you two and your families and we can’t wait until the next time our paths cross. Cheers to you two!
