Della Terra Mountain Chateau Wedding

Laura and Brandon’s celebration wasn’t our first Della Terra Mountain Chateau wedding. We’ve been to this venue multiple times. But the amazing thing about Colorado is that there’s always something new to see, even at venues we’ve photographed before.

Jesse and I like to challenge ourselves to bring a fresh perspective to each wedding so that our couples don’t feel like they’re in a wedding factory, cranking out the same images for every client. Luckily Colorado is filled with beautiful spots that we could photograph every single day for a year and still have have a plethora of ideas we want to try. And our client list is filled with couples who appreciate this and are willing to collaborate with us.

Laura and Brandon are perfect examples. They hiked up above Della Terra with us—not once, but twice—to get some amazing views of the Rocky Mountains. (Pro tip: golden hour is fine and all, but it won’t get you photos with the clouds on fire like these!)

Then, three days later, we all hiked up to Dream Lake for even more photography goodness. Dream Lake looks completely different depending on what time of year you’re there, so Jesse and I reveled in re-discovering the allure of places we’ve captured many times before.

Laura and Brandon, thank you for being eager participants in our ongoing photographic explorations. It was an enjoyable couple of days with you two lovely human beings and we can’t wait for the next adventure!
