Fall Wedding at Boettcher Mansion
Weddings can be a lot of things. They can be poignant, joyful, exciting, stressful, uplifting – sometimes all of these at once. But the best word to describe Andi and Kevin’s fall wedding at Boettcher Mansion is short and simple: Fun.
That’s it. It was just plain fun. Andi and Kevin were fun. Especially when we asked them to traipse through a pitch black forest and then spin around until they got dizzy.
Their wedding party was fun. We particularly enjoyed creating boy band cover art for them during portraits.
Their family was fun. They even laughed at my cheesy dad jokes during family portraits.
The dance party was fun, as all the guests stomped around to I’m Gonna Be (500 miles). (Go listen and have a little dance party yourself!) Even the food was fun!
All of this fun was a direct result of Andi and Kevin’s happy dispositions. These two don’t take themselves too seriously, which means that they didn’t take their wedding day too seriously, either. They didn’t obsess over all the miscellany that so often bogs couples down, making them forget why they’re having a wedding in the first place. Instead, they stayed present and just had…..fun.
Andi and Kevin, we can’t tell you how happy we are that you chose us to capture your wedding day. From our Ouzel Falls adventure to all the fun on your wedding day, it’s been an absolute joy to get to know you two!
QUICK TIP
Guests love DIY food! Andi and Kevin’s wedding had so many delicious bars at their wedding (and not just the kind that served alcohol). Guests sampled deliciousness from the taco, salsa, and popcorn bars and rounded the night out with fun selections from the donut wall. Gone are the days of selecting chicken or fish; get creative!
