¡Vamos, amigos!

We’re heading to Colombia!

Since its inception in 2021, the goal of Fusion has been to gain new skills, knowledge and inspiration from other photographers and to fuse those takeaways with your own artistic process. Each year, we analyze what went right, what we could improve, and how we can keep adapting to provide a workshop that is truly educational and not just a portfolio opportunity.

This year’s workshop is the culmination of our work. We’ll go beyond the technical aspects, recipes, or magic formulas and address the reality of the current wedding and portrait photography business.

This experience is designed to raise as many questions as it provides answers because true growth comes from the process each attendee experiences.

We’re gathering a cohort of photographers who want to grow, evolve, be inspired, break boundaries, think big, become better people to become better photographers, and conquer the world with impactful images that make you competitive no matter what the market is doing.

We’ll be teaming up, once again, with the maestro himself: Christian Cardona. But this time, we’ll be on his home turf, pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone, using our bad Spanish and best charade moves to cross cultures and boundaries.

So come join us for a workshop like no other!

What will be covered?

  • Inspiration: Build your own authentic style so you’re taking photos that both you and your clients love.
  • Technique: How to make difficult lighting conditions work for you, not against you. Lose your fear of flashes and mods!
  • Creativity: Forget thinking outside the box; we’re recycling the box and setting your imagination free!
  • Confidence: How to build the courage to try crazy sh*t on the wedding day.
  • Business: How to attract clients and, more importantly, how to attract the right clients.

Plus…

  • Gear: What’s in our bags and why.
  • Practice: This ain’t just theory. You’ll get a chance to try out what you’ve learned with individual and team exercises.
  • And much more! We’re working on a few surprises to make sure this workshop is the best one you’ve ever attended.

What’s included

  • Three very full days of education from three separate instructors.
  • Plenty of delicious Colombian coffee
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the workshop
  • A safe place to learn and grow, free from judgment or criticism.
  • A private Facebook group for continued learning and sharing after the workshop.

meet Jesse + Moira

Solo hablamos poquito espanol

Jesse and Moira La Plante are Colorado-based photographers who have been shooting weddings since 2008. They first met in the Bahamas on spring break when Jesse (allegedly) offered to buy Moira a drink at an all-inclusive resort. Shortly after that fateful trip, the pair moved to Colorado, started their wedding photography business and never looked back.

In 2022, Jesse was named Fearless Top 100, ISPWP Top 100 and (along with Moira) This is Reportage “Photographer of the Year.” When not photographing weddings, he can be found skiing, eating copious amounts of tacos and/or working on his beer belly at one of Colorado’s many outstanding craft breweries.

After graduating from Georgetown University with a business degree, Moira honed her problem-solving skills by working in many different arenas – from academia to atmospheric science research to entrepreneurship – before migrating to the wedding industry. When not figuring out how to do the impossible, she can be found with her nose in a book or devising ways to spend more time around puppies.
