Hindu Wedding in Colorado Springs

This was no ordinary Hindu wedding in Colorado Springs. This wedding was marked by color and emotion and blithe celebration. The couple smiled all day long, but their smiles were the brightest when they were looking at each other. Astha and Roberto built a beautiful, solid, occasionally uneven bridge between two very different but incredibly vibrant cultures.

When Astha and Roberto contacted us about photographing their wedding, what sold us was the food. Both had family members accompany them to the tastings to make sure that the Cheyenne Mountain Resort chefs mastered both the Indian and Mexican fare. But aside from the fact that the food itself sounded amazing, we loved the idea of the two cultures melding. When else would we have the chance to see a Hindu-Mexican wedding?

Astha and Roberto donned traditional Hindu wedding attire and processed to the mandap – Roberto on a mare, Astha escorted by her closest friends – for a ceremony both on the beach and beneath the mountains, something you don’t see often in Colorado. Following the ceremony, the couple changed into clothing that was easier to dance in and got the party started by having each table “dance for their dinner.”

But in case you think I built all this up for nothing, we’ve got photos to prove how awesome it was.

Astha and Roberto, thank you so much for having us at your amazing Colorado Springs Hindu wedding. We hope our paths cross again in the future!

Instead, the couple had designed and created VIP-style concert badges for their festival themed wedding.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about weddings in Colorado is the fantastic natural beauty of the surroundings. Katy and Adam’s River Bend wedding was no different. Not only was the location impressive, combining red sandstone, a cool river, and bright green trees, they made sure to incorporate Colorado’s wild nature into their wedding details. The…

Anya and Ben’s Garden of the Gods wedding was so epic, it couldn’t be contained to a single day or location. Instead, we joined the couple and their guests for three days of partying at the Garden of the Gods Resort and the Pinery, both with equally beautiful – but vastly different – views of Colorado Springs.
