Shadow Mountain Ranch Wedding
Here’s some life advice: marry someone who will have inflatable raptor fights with you. Leigh and Tyler are lucky to have found their raptor fight partners in each other. Their dinosaur-themed Shadow Mountain Ranch wedding was the perfect laid-back party to celebrate their marriage.
The day started with their first look by a quiet stream followed by a brief hike, during which it rained and then stopped and then rained again, as it does in Colorado. The Bill Miller trail was the perfect spot with mountain views in one direction, the valley in the other, and a dramatic sky all around.
Back at the ranch, Leigh and Tyler exchanged vows by the lake – after Leigh walked down the aisle to the theme of Jurassic Park – in front of an intimate group of their friends and family. Their puppy, Malt, made a brief appearance as ring bearer before his attention was captured by a very important stick. And they shared their love of bourbon with a unity toast with all their guests.
The party featured Leigh’s favorite summer drink, plenty of bourbon, yard games, toy dinosaurs, and many good wishes for the newlyweds. True to their adventurous spirit, they jumped at the chance to climb into the rickety row boat in the lake for us to do some nighttime photos as the sun dipped below the mountains.
