Spring Wedding at Della Terra

At this point, it’s kind of a cliché to talk about how important being a good team is to marriage. But I’m going to anyway, because Sara and Santana were one of the best examples I’ve ever seen of this, starting even before their spring wedding at Della Terra!

From my very first phone call, it was clear to me that Sara and Santana formed a powerful duo together. Most of the time, my first conversation is with the bride alone. Not so with Sara and Santana. As Sara managed a heavy course load while finishing up vet school, Santana stepped easily into the wedding planning role.

After meeting in college at the University of Arizona, Santana explained that they spent their first few years together falling in love and adding the adorable Margarita (their flower dog and very vocal supporter of their nuptials) to the beginning of their little family. Their ambitions brought them to Colorado where they both have been focusing on growing their careers. And also adding another furry friend to their crew – the equally vocal Capone. Sara and Santana are such fervent supporters of each other, that no matter where life takes them, they’ll thrive as long as they’re together.

Fortunately, this era of their lives included a wedding celebration full of joy and incredible dance moves, which we were lucky to be chosen to capture. Sara and Santana, not only did you nail the formal photo shimmy (in perfect tandem!), you kept us laughing all day long. Thank you for being such genuinely kind and fun-loving people. We can’t wait to see all you accomplish!

As anyone who lives in a travel destination knows, there’s the version of your town that the tourists see. Christa and Jeremy’s Washington, DC, wedding day started serenely.
