Spring Wedding in Estes Park

If you’re ever on the fence about whether you should say hi to the cute guy at the gym or invite that girl you have a crush on to a party you’re hosting, just know that Sara and Jeff’s spring wedding in Estes Park never would have happened if Jeff hadn’t had the nerve to shoot his shot.

Now, his method was a little unorthodox. After almost two decades of hearing How We Met stories and noticing a strong movement toward online dating, Jeff’s medium of choice was a first.

During the pandemic, Sara’s gym closed, so she had to find a new spot to workout. Fortunately for all of us, she picked the gym Jeff also went to. She sort of knew who he was, but only knew his name as “JJ,” the nickname everyone at the gym called him.

So when Sara got a LinkedIn message from a “Jeff Johnson,” she almost deleted it, assuming it was spam. Fortunately for all of us once again, she didn’t. She opened it, looked at the photo, and put two and two together. It was, indeed, an invitation from the cute guy at her gym.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Sara and Jeff, we had an amazing time at your wedding, getting to know all your friends and family, laughing with the precocious kiddos, and generally being in awe of Sara’s ability to hike in heels. We hope that you have an amazing time wherever you decide to spend your honeymoon! (And if my vote carries any weight, I say Scotland, explored by car.)

  • Vail Wedding

Being avid skiers, Jesse and I absolutely love Vail in the winter; it might possibly be our favorite mountain (shhh, don’t tell Beaver Creek). However, it’s just as spectacular in the summer, especially when you invite your favorite friends and family up to 8,000 ft. for a celebration. So when Andrea and Shawn asked us…

After a crazy June that took us to three different states and three different time zones, we finished the month a little more locally with Lisa and Pat’s chill backyard wedding in Longmont. Lisa and Pat met exactly 13 years (and one day) before their wedding day, which means that it was before the ubiquity…
