Summer Wedding at the Boulders

Dani and Dean’s summer wedding at The Boulders had some reception entertainment we’d never seen before: an aura camera. Dani works for a company that offers aura photography and readings for events, so naturally, she had to include it for her own wedding.

If you’ve never had your aura photographed, I highly recommend it! The camera is connected to a collection of metal plates where the subject places their hands. The metal plates read your physiological information, some magic happens within the camera, and you get a polaroid image of yourself surrounded by ethereal colors.

Just like their guests, Dani and Dean’s wedding day had an aura of its own. If we could combine the entire day into one photograph, it would have an array of aural colors:

Red for being well-grounded: Even with the typical chaos of the wedding day, Dani and Dean paid special attention to their connection, exchanging private vows after the first look.
Yellow for contagious emotions: From happy tears to belly laughs to dance floor euphoria, Dani, Dean, and their guests moved through the emotions of the entire day as one complete entity.
Violet for majestic presence: You can’t get much more majestic than getting married with the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop
White for the incredibly kind and caring human beings: Not only are Dani and Dean amazing, supportive, and compassionate people in their own rights, they were surrounded by like-hearted guests.
Magenta for authenticity and creativity: There were REAL artichokes and grapes in their floral arrangements. What’s more, they bucked the pressure to have light and airy decor for something more dark, mysterious, and elegant.
Turquoise for the beautiful day that Dani and Dean created through connecting their closest loved ones in an awe-inspiring location.

Whether that’s LED foam lights, glow sticks, sunglasses, inflatable instruments, or fatheads of your pet who couldn’t make it, props give your guests something to interact with on the dance floor.
