The Boulders Estes Park Wedding
After a short couple of months off from weddings to cozy up and refresh our creativity, we dove right into the 2024 wedding season with three weddings in four days! Starting with Lacey and Josh’s raucous party at the Boulders, Estes Park’s premier wedding venue!
It’s no secret we love working at the Black Canyon Inn. But I’m convinced that the crew may be putting something in the water. Don’t worry, though. Whatever it is has no lasting side effects, except possibly some sort feet from dancing all night long.
After wrapping up 2023 with one of the best dance parties we’ve seen at a wedding, we started 2024 with another dance party to rival 2023’s! Lacey and Josh themselves spent most of the night on the dance floor, singing their hearts out, lifting various guests, and kicking ass at an attire-destroying game of limbo. Their only break was when we convinced them to go outside for a few nighttime portraits beneath a sky teeming with stars.
Jesse and I know we’ve done a good job at a wedding when we can barely move the next day. It means we put every ounce of ourselves into capturing our clients’ wedding. Well, I can guarantee that all of Lacey and Josh’s guests were feeling the same way we were the next day: sapped of energy because they gave their all to celebrate these two amazing people.
Lacey and Josh, thank you for setting the bar high for 2024 wedding receptions! We have you on speed dial in case we need someone to take a party from so-so to pants-splittingly epic!
QUICK TIP
Weather in the Rockies is fickle. That’s why I don’t recommend looking at the weather for your wedding until a couple of days out. And even then, don’t stress too much about having “perfect” weather., since the mountains can cause such a large amount of variance. It might be snowing on one side of Estes and sunny on the other. So as with any visit to Colorado: pack layers, bring extra shoes, but at the end of the day, embrace the chaos. The weather almost always ends up making the view even more dramatic!
