This year, many around the US had the chance to view the aurora borealis. While we initially thought we would be too far south on our little slice of land, we decided to pull ourselves out of a wedding hangover and attempt to photograph it anyway. And thanks to a complex scientific process in the night sky, we got our holiday card photo for 2025.

All of this is a great reminder to be curious and set aside preconceived notions. Our world is filled with awe-inspiring experiences, from the smallest insects to extreme space weather.

We hope that 2026 is filled with memorable adventures!
