Oh, the difference 4,000 feet makes! While we enjoyed 70-degree weather in the foothills, Kristin and Greg’s Rocky Mountain National Park engagement session still had plenty of snow. That’s one of the (many) things we love about Colorado. If you’re getting sick of the weather, there’s no need to travel to a different latitude, you simply have to drive an hour or two up into the mountains!
Kristin and Greg came to Colorado from Georgia to kill two birds with one stone. While Kristin attended a work conference, Greg set about vetting wedding venues. Ok, and possibly enjoying the various local adult beverages offered in and around Denver.
Of course, Jesse and I wanted to show Colorado off a little bit. If you can’t already tell from our blog, we think it’s a pretty awesome state with some really amazing views. So we started their engagement session with some Breckenridge Bourbon at the 3M curve to watch the sun set. Then we pinched ourselves because we get to live and work in this amazing place.
After sunset, we made the drive over to Bear Lake to catch the blue hour. But we got there a little bit before the blue hour, so naturally, we helped them out with the Breckenridge Bourbon, while swapping ridiculous travel stories and determining that none of us were about to hike up Tyndall Glacier in order to ski down, but we had lots of respect for the couple in the parking lot who had spent their day doing just that.
Kristin and Greg, it was so much fun getting to know you two!
