Sanctuary Golf Course Wedding

Perhaps one of our biggest honors is to be asked to photograph the wedding of another event professional. After all, these people know what makes an amazing event. They’ve worked with some of the best vendors around and for them to reach out and choose us…well, it’s kind of a big deal. Which is why Christine and Dan’s Sanctuary Golf Course wedding was so meaningful to us.

We first met Christine in 2016 when she helped plan and coordinate Amy and Kalen’s wedding. We instantly hit it off and discovered that we shared the same sense of humor and resolute determination to make an event the best it can possibly be. That day, Christine made our job not only easier, but more enjoyable. So when she emailed us last year to say that she was planning her own wedding, I secretly made a sacrifice to the wedding deities that they would choose us to capture their day. And whatever I did worked.

Now, I would have been happy enough just knowing that we were heading into an impeccably planned wedding. But organization wasn’t what made Christine and Dan’s Sanctuary Golf Course wedding one for the books. Rather, it was the people surrounding them who elevated the day past just another wedding day.

Christine and Dan are both transplants here in Colorado, but they’ve formed their own tight-knit community with friends who feel more like family. These friends provided surprises (from icing each other on the wedding party bus to unexpected guests), plenty of laughter, a few tears (happy, of course), and abundant congratulatory hugs. Sometimes, all at the same time. But their generosity didn’t end at the limits of their friend group. Instead, they all did their best to make sure everyone at the wedding, including the vendors, enjoyed themselves. By the end of the night, I lost count of how many times someone had checked in with us to make sure we had eaten, gotten water, or rested our feet for a moment.

Christine and Dan, we’ve been to enough weddings to know that you don’t attract these kinds of amazing people without also being amazing yourself. We are so thankful that we got to witness all the love and joy firsthand and hope that our photos can take you back to that fantastic day!
