Shupe Homestead Wedding

Like the couple themselves, K and G’s Shupe Homestead wedding had a seemingly contradictory vibe that I could only describe as “laid-back energetic.” It was clear that they were there to have a good time and not to worry too much about tiny details or to make sure that everything was “perfect,” which is exactly the kind of couple we love to work with!

K and G technically met on Craigslist. But not in the way that you’re thinking. Instead, they started out as roommates when K first moved to Colorado. K told me the very first time we talked on the phone that her first reaction when she was introduced to G as one of her new roommates was, “Oh crap. He’s cute.” Luckily for all involved, both the relationship and the living situation had the best possible ending!

It’s obvious how perfect these two are for each other to anyone who watches them even for just a moment. When they’re together, everything else around them just melts away – including the stress of a wedding. More than that, their heartfelt vows illustrated just how many adventures they’ve enjoyed together and how many more are yet to come.

K and G, we hope you two have been enjoying some peace and quiet on your honeymoon in Maine! Thank you so much for being willing to try a crazy, we’ve-never-done-this-before kind of photo with us and for having such a kick-ass Shupe Homestead wedding!

Last, but not least, I need to take a moment to tell you about how great the folks at Shupe Homestead are?! We had this screwy idea for a photo we wanted to try out; however, we were concerned about the potential clean up. We figured out the best way to minimize the impact on a wedding venue – but it was still a big request. The Shupe Homestead was completely on board and even helped us figure out some last-minute changes to make sure that the images were truly epic! So much gratitude to them for all their help on the wedding day!
