Based on Mo and Trey’s Boulder engagement session photos, you wouldn’t have guessed that we were on one of the busiest trails in Boulder the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Despite Shanahan Ridge Trail being filled with people who ate too much and were trying to burn off calories before they do it all over again at Christmas, we were able to find some peaceful spots off the beaten path to take in the sunset.
The day was beautiful, quite possibly apologizing in advance for the colder weather this coming week. Or maybe it was just showing off for Mo and Trey, who had flown in for Thanksgiving from Chicago, where, they assured us, the weather chills you to the bone. We talked about everything from rattlesnake bites to holiday traditions as we traipsed up and down the mountain, climbed on rocks, and avoided prickly pears like the plague.
