Cheyenne Mountain Resort Wedding
Before we headed into Diana and Cody’s Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding, Jesse reminded me that I couldn’t take photos of just London, the couple’s dog. Nevertheless, a large percentage of the photos I took featured London. But just look at her eyes! How could I not take a million photos of her?!
Diana and Cody actually got married before their wedding, which is par for the course in military towns. They met in New York, but when Cody was stationed in Colorado and then deployed soon after, they decided there was no reason to wait. So Diana packed up, moved to Colorado, and the two got hitched shortly before Cody deployed. London kept Diana company as they explored their new home together and patiently waited for Cody to return.
On the day of their wedding,we woke up to a chilly morning, with the mountains peeking out occasionally from beneath low-hanging clouds. As anyone who lives here for a year can tell you, Colorado can get a little dramatic in the fall. But despite the cold start to the day, the clouds parted just in time to provide a jaw-dropping background for the ceremony.
The night finished off with a crazy dance party that included everything from a conga-turned-limbo line to a rousing all-male rendition of Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On. All of which served to warm Diana and Cody up enough that they didn’t even notice the cold when we brought them back outside for nighttime photos!
Diana and Cody, thank you for including us in your Cheyenne Mountain Resort wedding! You two have so much fun together, it made our job easy. (And please be sure to give London lots of belly scratches on my behalf!)
