Copper Mountain Wedding

Copper Mountain Wedding

Copper Mountain holds a special place in Shantel and Matt’s hearts. Shantel grew up skiing at Copper and it’s where she taught Matt how to ski. She gave him some strong motivation, too. When they started dating, she told him that if he wanted to see her at all during the winter, he’d have to learn how to ski. Continue reading →

Black Canyon Inn Wedding

Black Canyon Inn Wedding

This past weekend took us up to beautiful Estes Park for Kristen and Russell’s Black Canyon Inn wedding. Despite being close to downtown Estes Park, the secluded property feels like it’s in a world of its own. Continue reading →

Evergreen Lake House Wedding

Evergreen Lake House Wedding

After our whirlwind start, we had some downtime to edit photos. Or rather, Jesse edited photos and I kept him supplied with samples of the microbrews we picked up during our travels. We recharged ourselves and the many batteries it takes to power our equipment and got ready to head for our Evergreen Lake House wedding. The weather promised to be sunny, a welcome change from weeks of daily rainstorms. Continue reading →

Brook Forest Inn Wedding

Brook Forest Inn Wedding

We first met Yvette and Josh at Seanee and Jeremy’s wedding last summer (Josh and Seanee are twins). Seanee had hinted a couple of times that Josh was about to propose, so we were very excited when they contacted us to see if we’d photograph their wedding Brook Forest Inn wedding. Not only was it in a beautiful historic venue, but knowing half of the family already, we knew it was going to be a great party. Continue reading →

The Pines at Genesee Wedding

The Pines at Genesee Wedding

For our last wedding of the year, we headed up I-70 in unseasonably warm December weather for Kendra and Heath’s 12/13/14 Pines at Genesee winter wedding. I don’t know how she did it, but Kendra managed to keep a pretty big secret up until the day of the wedding. Continue reading →

Evergreen Engagement

Evergreen Engagement

Shantel and Matt invited us out to their neck of the woods (Alderfer Three Sisters Park in Evergreen, CO) for what turned out to be a perfect afternoon for an engagement shoot. The park was peaceful and the weather was beautiful–even the fickle winter sun cooperated. We wandered around the grounds, climbed some rocks, and even got to hang out with their awesome Corgi, Miles. Check out some of our favorite photos from the Wednesday shoot: Continue reading →

Della Terra Wedding

Della Terra Wedding

There’s no better way to spend the end of our busy season than photographing Megan and Henry’s breathtaking Della Terra wedding, located at a beautiful mountain lodge tucked away near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park? The venue was a perfect complement to their earlier downtown engagement photo session. Continue reading →

Wild Basin Lodge Wedding

Wild Basin Lodge Wedding

With one day of rest (and football!), we headed into the mountains for Kim and Julie’s Wild Basin Lodge wedding. We were thrilled to be back at the Lodge for the first time since we photographed Catherine and Greg’s wedding almost four years ago; if you’ve never been, it’s worth a stay on your next visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. Leadville Wedding

Leadville Wedding

Both being science educators, Mike and Stacy found plenty of ways to express their passion for nature during their Leadville wedding this past weekend, with a rustic ceremony setting at the base of Mt. Massive, woodsy decor featuring photos of their various adventures, and a celestial tie for the groom. Not to mention, Mike’s ring was made of copper, while Stacy’s was constructed from a meteorite. Rustic Colorado Barn Wedding

Rustic Colorado Barn Wedding

This weekend, we had the chance to hang out again with a wonderful couple in an absolutely jaw-dropping location. Seanee and Jeremy’s rustic Colorado barn wedding at Wiens Ranch in Sedalia was quintessentially American: the bride was a nurse, the groom was a fireman, and they were surrounded by friends and family on a beautiful horse ranch–with perfect weather to boot!
