The Boulders Wedding

We don’t walk into every wedding and immediately feel like we’re hanging out with friends. But at Heather and Chris’s Boulders wedding, we did! From my very first conversation with Heather to their flower-filled engagement session to the very end of the wedding reception, it felt like we had known this couple for a lifetime.

While talking to their wedding party and their guests, I discovered that this isn’t an unusual occurrence with Heather and Chris. And even if the toasts hadn’t called out their warm personalities and the joy they take in giving to others, it would have been obvious from their wedding celebration. These two created an absolutely magical experience for their guests, who came into Estes Park from all over the country.

Aside from the jaw-dropping view at the Boulders, guests enjoyed molecular gastronomy desserts, an interactive champagne wall, and an epic private concert. After 16 years of photographing weddings, it’s easy to tell when our couples have a strong, loving, and supportive community. Heather and Chris have that in droves and give back just as fiercely as they receive.

Heather and Chris, we hope your move went smoothly! And while we can’t follow you to Texas, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that your paths bring you back to Colorado (and maybe I’ll send you a few real estate listings in our neighborhood in the meantime…). It’s a huge honor to be part of your amazing community!

When Taryn and Tim started planning their Acreage wedding, Taryn asked me a question that I love to get asked by couples: What can we do to make your job easier? My answer is always the same. Ashley and Mitch wanted their Alt Session photos to contrast the tropical location where they’re getting married. And I love a good challenge.
