Denver Botanic Gardens Wedding

August 18th was hands down the most popular wedding date of this entire year. Jesse and I had inquiries for the date coming in up to a month ago. And even though it seems we could have filled this date with any number of couples, we’re so thrilled that P&S booked us almost two years ago for their Denver Botanic Gardens wedding.

Just before I arrived at the bride’s getting ready room at the Four Seasons, she and her friends had watched an Indian wedding processional make its way down Arapahoe St. This stuck in my mind throughout the day as I appreciated the simplicity of their wedding. P&S didn’t need to shut down any roads or rent out a ballroom for 300 people. And they certainly didn’t need a horse.

Instead, the focus of their wedding was on the people and the amazing community they’ve built around them. The bride’s closest friends and family got ready with her in a peaceful room perched up above the city while the groom sat and had a quiet drink with his closest friends and family across the street. Then they exchanged vows in the York Street Romantic Gardens in a short ceremony with a relatively small group of guests before heading to the Santa Fe Art District where their reception had even the bartenders showing off their moves!

All day long, you could see how carefully they had curated their guest list and how important each and every person at this Denver Botanic Gardens wedding was to the couple. With all the love and support surrounding them, it was clear just how perfect P&S are for each other.

P&S, I know we already thanked you so many times for choosing us to capture your wedding day, but I have to reiterate at least one more time how happy we are to have spent the day with you two. We’ll have to find time to share a whiskey post-wedding season!
