Best of 2021

It’s that time of year again when we take a moment to look back and reflect upon the previous 12 months’ worth of weddings and engagement shoots. This past year was our busiest wedding season to date, which made it extra difficult to whittle it down to our best wedding photos of 2021.

We started 2021 with a New Year’s Day wedding in Houston and bookended it with a New Year’s Eve wedding at one of our all-time favorite wedding venues, Black Canyon Inn, in Estes Park. During the 363 days in between, we rarely had a moment to breathe. A few highlights of this frenzied wedding season include a road trip down to Arizona for a Grand Canyon Engagement session, our first ever wedding at the iconic ski resort, Arapahoe Basin, a backyard Star Wars-themed wedding near Boulder, and a destination wedding in Moira’s home state of Montana. Oh, and who could forget the super fun canoeing engagement and horseback riding engagement we had the pleasure of shooting when weddings began to wind down in the fall.

Without further ado, here are our best wedding photos of 2021. We hope you enjoy scrolling and we wish you and happy and healthy 2022!

  • Loveland Engagement

Last weekend’s weather sort of jerked us around. It snowed most of Friday and into early Saturday morning. But then Saturday was sunny and in the 40s. Normally, this would be fantastic, but we were hoping the snow stuck around for Derae and Dillon’s Loveland engagement session. Derae had her heart set on a winter…

  • The Manor House Wedding

Kristin and Matt popped over from Chicago for their Manor House wedding four years to the day from when they first met. On that fateful August night, both were attending a friend’s wedding when their eyes locked on the dance floor. Now, you could easily build a solid marriage on their awesome dance moves alone,…

  • Shupe Homestead Wedding

Like the couple themselves, K and G’s Shupe Homestead wedding had a seemingly contradictory vibe that I could only describe as “laid-back energetic.” It was clear that they were there to have a good time and not to worry too much about tiny details or to make sure that everything was “perfect,” which is exactly…

  • White Sands Engagement

Last weekend, we traded white snow flurries in Colorado for bright white sand dunes, stretching out for miles in New Mexico. While we’re no strangers to sandy Alt Sessions, Ashleigh and Tony’s White Sands engagement session had a particularly otherworldly feel to it. A mere 70 miles from the Mexico border, the entrance to White…
