Cheesman Park / Union Station Engagement

I swear I must have checked the weather at least fifty times on Friday and Saturday. We had an engagement shoot planned with Ashley and Tim for Saturday evening at sunset and Colorado had decided it was going to have one of its few cloudy days. I was completely convinced that we would be shooting with flat light and no view of the mountains. However, we lucked out, because on our drive to Cheesman Park, the clouds over the mountains inexplicably cleared enough for us to see the sun but not so much as to rob us of the dramatic sunset.

Evergreen Engagement

Shantel and Matt invited us out to their neck of the woods (Alderfer Three Sisters Park in Evergreen, CO) for what turned out to be a perfect afternoon for an engagement shoot. The park was peaceful and the weather was beautiful–even the fickle winter sun cooperated. Red Rocks Engagement

Last night, we returned to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for another engagement shoot with Jessica and Ryan. Even though the weather threatened rain all evening, all we had were some dramatic clouds and a rainbow. With views of both the mountains and Denver (not to mention plenty of rocks, which Jessica – a geologist – really appreciated), Red Rocks turned out to be the perfect place for us to spend a couple hours taking photos. It’s rare to find a spot in Denver that has a great view of both the city and the mountains, but Sloan’s Lake Park offers it all, which made it the perfect spot for Jenifer and Karl’s engagement photos last Thursday.
