Bellingham, Washington Wedding
We first met Andrea and Chad when they came to Colorado to elope in Rocky Mountain National Park. They have a deep appreciation for nature…and whiskey…which made it feel like we’d known them our entire lives. So we were incredibly honored and excited to join them exactly a year and one day later for their Bellingham, Washington wedding celebration!
Having already gone through all the legalities, their one-year celebration was more about making sure their friends and family had an amazing time. After Andrea danced her way into the ceremony to Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream, the two re-enacted their vows while surrounded by all their guests. They kept the ceremony short and the focus on the party. There were no long, drawn out speeches; instead, the couple toasted their guests to thank them for their years of love and support. There was no ceremonial cake cutting, but there were some divine cupcakes. And don’t get me started on the cheese plates!
But most importantly, there was dancing. And boy, was there dancing! Andrea and Chad opened up the dance floor with their “second” first dance, after which their guests joined them in dancing to Wagon Wheel, a song that holds a special place for the couple. And from that point on, the dancing never flagged!
