Best of 2023
It’s that time of year again when we take a moment to look back at our best wedding photos of 2023.
All of our shoots were spread evenly throughout the year this year, starting with Morgan and Brad’s beautiful nighttime wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens on January 7th to Meredythe and Robert’s winter wedding at Black Canyon Inn on December 16th. The latter also marked our 15th wedding at BCI, which officially makes is our most frequently photographed venue of all time.
On the flip side of that coin, we also had the pleasure of working in some brand new locations for the very first time. We’ve always loved Crested Butte, but Carrie and Conrad’s Crested Butte wedding marked the first time we’ve been there with our cameras. The incredible Grand Lake Lodge, Blanc Denver and Villa Parker are just a few other venues we were stoked to finally see for the first time in our nearly 16 years of photographing weddings in Colorado.
Other highlights of our 2023 wedding season included going back to Mile High Station in Denver for the first time in seven years and the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder for the first time in more than a decade. Oh, and who could forget Carolyn and Logan’s intimate microwedding near Telluride? What a cool and unique wedding weekend that was. One we’ll never forget.
And the Alt Sessions! We started off the year by driving out to Zion National Park for Jaclyn and Matt’s engagement session. We did a seven-mile hike with the couple, which rewarded us with one of the best views we’ve ever seen. Amelia and Jeff’s engagement session at Black Canyon of the Gunnison marked the first time we’ve had the pleasure of shooting in Colorado’s lesser-known national park. And Sarah and Joe’s post-wedding session at Colorado’s most unique roadside attraction, Bishop Castle, meant that we got to work right in our own back yard!
