Winter Wedding at The Boulders

We wrapped up our 2023 wedding season “early” for us with a mid-December winter wedding at the Boulders, one of our favorite venues in all of Colorado.

From the very first meeting I had with Meredythe and Robert, two things were clear: They work hard and they play hard. The working hard part was more obvious in the lead up to the wedding. Typically, during my first timeline call with a couple, I expect to have a lot of outstanding items that we need to finalize. But after creating my first draft of their timeline, I realized that due to their attention to detail and careful planning, we didn’t have much more work to do!

All of their hard work was obvious on the wedding day itself (and at the apres ski-themed welcome dinner the night before at the Wheel Bar in downtown Estes). The day flowed smoothly, everyone knew where they needed to be, and there was a kind of calm that you don’t often see at weddings.

But enough about calm; on to the party!

Also during my very first meeting with Meredythe and Robert, they expressed how important it was for them to maximize their time on the dance floor. And after their wedding, I completely understand why. The newlyweds and their guests SHOWED UP. From sing-a-longs that definitely made at least a couple of people lose their voices to Russian-style dancing that make my knees crackle just thinking about it – Meredythe and Robert’s reception was one for the books!
